Rubens King had the honour once again of starting off the day’s proceedings in the Men’s 15/16 200m Free. Ruben’s performance ensured he went onto the Semi-Final where he came 7th. Frederick Biggs followed in the 17/18 years and his performance also ensured he went through to the Semi-Final where he finished 16th.
In the Women’s 100m Free Anna Pang swam a 59.78. Dannielle Benn in the 17/18 years swam 59.70. Chloe Bean and Ellen Thomas followed in the 19 years with Chloe swimming a 58.28 and coming 12th and Ellen coming 5th in both the Heats and Final with a superb swim of 56.48.
Matthew Phillips continued his brilliant form in the Men’s MC 100m Back swimming a Personal Best of 1.25.12. Also on good form was Connor Lockwood who also swam a magnificent Personal Best in 1.24.33.
Olivia Mae Cameron’s performance in the Women’s 100 MC 100 Back meant she also secured a Personal Best in the Heats in a time of 1.36.07 and then went on to come 8th in the Final in yet another Personal Best time of 1.35.03.
In the Men’s 200 Fly Rubens King was yet again in the pool and swam strongly finishing in 2.14.28.
Lucy Bean and Katie Hodgson put in excellent performances in the Women’s 200m Breast. With both swimmers getting Personal Best times in the heats. Katie finishing in 2.39.37 and went on to come 17th in the Semi Final. Lucy swam 2.33.45 in the heats and came 6th in the Semi-Final.
Both Matthew Phillips and Connor Lockwood put in fine performances in the Men’s MC 200 IM.
Olivia Mae Cameron followed in the Women’s 200IM gaining another good personal best time in 3.51.10.
Emma Day swam strongly in the 100m Fly Semi-Final coming 5th in 1.01.33.
The last event of the day was the Men’s 4 x 200m Free relay with Frederick Biggs, Riaan Steyn, Charlie Pullan and Joe Clark putting in a great performance ensuring that they went through to the final where they came 9th in a very exciting finish.
