YOUTH NATIONALS DAY 6 – Last Day of Brilliant Championships for Guildford Swimmers

In the 17/18 years 400m Free Kate Alexander started the day’s proceedings and finished in 4.37.28 with Emma Day following in 4.26.12 where she came 7th.

Joe Clark also swam in the 17/18 years 400m free and finished in 4.18.62.

In the 50m Free Anna Pang swam in the 15/16 years free coming 3rd in the heats in 26.72 and went on to compete in the Semi Final in 26.88.

Dannielle Benn also competed in the 17/18 years 50m Free heats in 27.42 which secured Danni’s place in the Semi Final where she finished in a time of 27.53.

In the Men’s 50m Free Charlie Pullan swam the heats in 24.74 which ensured he also went onto the Semi Final where he finished 16th in 24.82.

Lucy Bean had an exciting race in the Women’s 15/16 years 100m Breast final where she finished 5th in 1.12.44.

The evening finished with the 4 x 100 Medley races with Dannielle Benn, Lucy Bean, Emma Day, Kate Alexander coming 23rd in the Women’s race in a time of 4.27.81.

The Men’s 4 x 100 Medley followed with 2 teams from Guildford. In the B Team Frederick Biggs, Sergiu Chete, Riaan Steyn and Henry Goodlud finished in 4.03.52. The A Team followed with Rubens King, Christopher Green, Joe Clark and Charlie Pullan concluding the day’s events and the Championships in 3.59.65

Kate Alexander 18 had also competed during the Championships in the challenging 3k Open Water Championships where she finished 7th in a time of 36:16.28.

Congratulations to all swimmers for some outstanding performances which along with the medals saw them achieve numerous Personal Best times, plenty of Semi Finals and Finals. Well done also to all the coaches and parents for their support.
