YOUTH NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS – Personal Bests and more Semi-Finals and Finals on Day 2

Starting the 2nd days proceedings in the Men’s 200m 15/16 years 200m Back was Rubens King who came 18th which ensured he swam in the semi-finals where he finished in a time of 2.10.18.

Anna Pang was next up in the Women’s 15/16 years Back in 1.08.00.

Matthew Phillips was in fine form in the Men’s MC 50 Free where he swam a Personal Best time of 33.72.

Olivia Mae Cameron followed in the Women’s MC 50 Free swimming a personal best in 37.77.

Four swimmers swam well in the 100m Breast with Rubens King and Sergiu Chete swimming in the 15/16 years age group, followed by Chris Green and Henry Goodlud in the 17/18 years.

In the 15/16 years Anna Pang swam a good race in the 100m Fly, followed by Dannielle Benn and Emma Day in the 17/18 years. Emma went on to swim in the semi-final finishing in 5th place. Ellen Thomas followed in the 19 years and swam a brilliant race; Ellen went on to compete in the Final finishing in 4th place.

Matthew Phillips who swam well yesterday had another very good day in the MC 100m Fly, swimming a Personal Best in the heats in 1.18.97 and then coming 5th in the final in another excellent Personal Best time of 1.16.28.

Joe Clark and Fred Biggs swam well in the Men’s 200m 17/18 years Free.

In the Women’s 50m Breast Lucy Bean swam an excellent Personal Best in 33.90.

Emma Day had a good swim in the Ladies 200IM which saw her come 8th in the final in a time 2.19.32.

Two swimmers took on the Women’s 800m Free challenge with Lucy Bean finishing in 9.12.32 in the 15/16 years and Kate Alexander clocking a time of 9.26.56 in the 17/18 years.
