Following City being crowned the champions of the National Junior Arena League the young team put in a tremendous team effort in the first round gala. As a first step to defend their national title, the 9 to 12 year olds won the first round by some 66 points!

City won 32 of the 49 events and only once dropped below 3rd in a very tight finish. Their wins included all the relays bar 2 when they were runners up. This showed coaches Laura and Sally Williamson the strength and depth of the team.

Special congratulations to the 9 year old girls – Isabella Dash, Louise Bressler, Katie Sherlock, Hattie Sherlock and Heidi Hemming – who won all their events.
