The Academy Gala is our biannual, friendly and inclusive swimming gala for our Academy swimmers which gives children from the age of six the opportunity to shine within the Club and have their first taste of competitive swimming.  Swimmers are encouraged to participate in 25m sprints on all four strokes enabling them to track their improvement and the Club to identify rising talent.  It was a busy evening and Sue Barney, Head of the Academy was very proud of the way her young swimmers performed as were all of the Academy team!

We would especially like to congratulate the following swimmers in their age groups ..

Harry Caulton who won 4 Golds in the 6 year old Boys Freestyle, Backstroke, Butterfly and Breaststroke; and also to Evie Smith who won 3 Golds in the 6 year old Girls Freestyle, Backstroke and Breaststroke. We look forward to their next gala!

William Smith who won 2 Golds and 2 Bronzes in the 9 year old Boys Events with Mackenzie Russell taking Gold in the Backstroke and Harry Readhead in the Butterfly.  In the nine year old girls,  Maddie Glynn Jones took home Gold in the Freestyle and Backstroke with Henrietta Whittington taking Gold in the Butterfly and Breaststroke.
