Day 4 ASA Nationals – 2 More Medals and some great Swims

IN the Men’s 200 fly James Morris swam just outside his PB in 2.25.76. In the 15 years Age group Ben Rowett had a good swim in the heats and only 0.7 outside his PB in 2.21.20 narrowly missing a place in the final. Alex Armstrong swam a PB by 0.5 of a second and in the final came 8th in 2.20.95. Dylan Conway swam just outside his PB after the accumulation of multiple races catching up with him. Riaan Steyn swam a controlled swim with great execution to move safely through to the final where he swam a seasons best and claimed the bronze medal in 2.07.56.

Molly Robinson swam just outside of her PB after a couple of weeks of competition.

Dylan Conway swam a good 50 breast in 33.43 just outside his PB. Joining the team was Master swimmer Ian Surrage in 30.46 and Ian went on to finish 8th in the final in 30.41.

In the Woman’s 50 breast Amy Hodgson swam a PB in 35.14 and went on to swim superbly in the final to claim a well deserved gold in 34.18.

Jordan McPhail swam skilfully in the heats where he gained a new PB in 1.05.26. He then went on to swim yet another PB in the final in 1.05.06 coming 8th.

Piers Bowden also put in a solid swim and improved on his entry time in 1.03.68. Piers went on to put in another fine performance in the final finishing 10th in 1.03.17.

Kate Windle had a solid swim in the heats after a busy week in Sheffield finishing in 1.10.26.
