Congratulations to Steve Wadey and Jan Griffiths who have been appointed as the Joint Leaders of the Academy following Sue Barney’s retirement. Steve will continue to run the Junior County Squad and also lead the HPS Camps and Clinics. Jan will continue to lead Junior Development alongside her Academy duties. They will take up the new post from 1 January 2015.

Steve Wadey has been with the Club since 1998 and is one of only a handful of Level 4 coaches in the country. Steve’s special interest is stroke mechanics and the development of junior competitive swimmers. Steve has been training as an ASA Tutor and will be finishing off his Tutor training during the course of next year.

Jan Griffiths has been with the club since 2004 and is a Level 2 Coach. Jan’s special interest is the development of young swimmers.

Both Steve and Jan are looking forward to continuing the success already achieved in the Academy by Sue Barney and also meeting the swimmers and parents over the spring term.
