Dating back to 2004 Guildford City has continued its long unbeaten run and won top club honours once again in the Surrey Championships 2019. Maintaining it’ s place as the most successful club in Surrey County history, Guildford has won the Tinlin Trophy for top age group club, and the St James Trophy and the Millennium Shield for top Ladies & Mens teams.
“This incredible run of success dates back to 2004 and has continued without a break for 15 long years” stated a jubilant Chief Coach Richard Garfield. “It’s a true testament to our superb club structure and the great coaches and swimmers who continue to excel at all ages
and in all events. Sustained success at this level for so long does not happen by accident. We work incredibly hard in the training pool on technique, endurance and racing skills. Nothing is left to chance. Our swimmers are the most successful in Surrey because they are the best prepared. Our focus now shifts to the National Arena League Cup Final in Cardiff on Sunday 3 March where we represent the South of England as League Champions and take on the best clubs in the UK”
