ASA National Summer Championships Day 1 – 2 x Golds on first day!

The 200m Free for Women was the first event with Anna Cutts (14), Olivia Ng (15) who came 10th in her final and Ellenor Rixon (15) coming 5th in the same final in 2.10.56, and Lucy Bean (18) coming 4th in 2.05.56 in her age group final.

Piers Bowden had a superb swim in the Men’s 100m Fly coming 1st in the heats and then going on to win Gold in the Final in 1.01.83.


Georgia Smith (17) swam in the 50m Fly, followed by the Men’s 400IM with Jordan McPhail both putting in fine performances.

In the Women’s 200IM Ella Windle came 7th in the final with Katie Hodgson (16) coming 9th. Tilly Hansen-Hamilton (13) had a great swim and came 8th in her final in 2.30.54. Rosanna Arnold (15) powered her way to a Gold in 2.28.34.


The day was finished off with the relays. In the Men’s 14/16 400m Free team consisting of Piers Bowden, Joe Kite, George Smale & George Smith the team swam a great race and finished 10th in the final in 3.48.64. In the 17 years and over the team consisting of Connor Brunt, Andrew Ward, Rubens King & Kieran Brunt also had a great swim.

The women’s 14/16 400m Free with Amy Hodgson, Olivia Ng, Ellenor Rixon and Rosanna Arnold completed the day with a strong performance in their race finishing in 4.07.23.
