It was a resounding lucky 13 for Guildford City “A” Team in the Southern Final of the Arena League on Saturday 9 December at Wycombe Leisure Centre. The TYR sponsored Club was defending its championship title and for the thirteenth consecutive year came away victorious retaining the coveted trophy.
“This was a very special gala” claimed a jubilant Chief Coach Richard Garfield. “Winning this championship for the thirteenth year in succession is a massive boost to our confidence. All credit to our wonderful swimmers and their parents who gave terrific support. We also need to recognise and make special mention of the best team of Club Coaches in Great Britain. They have worked tirelessly to get the swimmers ready for this victory which has kept our winning streak alive for a very long time.”
