From 1 September 2025 Guildford City Swimming Club will be invoicing all members for their training and membership fees on a monthly basis. We will no longer be invoicing members’ training and membership fees termly in advance Guildford City Swimming Club has reached an agreement with GoCardless to collect all of our members payments by direct debit. The collection system fully integrates with Swim Manager which will continue to be the vehicle to manage Guildford City members’ accounts.

September training and membership fees will be invoiced on 1st August and collected by direct debit from the member’s nominated bank account at the beginning of September. Each succeeding month will follow the same pattern.

Any other invoices generated from from 1 September 2025 onwards e.g. meet entries – GCSC clinics and camp fees, will also be collected by Go Cardless via direct debit. The credit period for this type of transaction will be 3 days after invoicing.

All members are required to complete a direct debit mandate enabling Go Cardless to collect invoices rendered on the Club’s behalf.

Can you confirm if the monthly direct debits (starting Sept) will be taken every month or over a 10 month period?
The direct debits for fee payments will be taken every month and will be the yearly squad fees and club membership fees divided by 12.

Please could you clarify the cost to members under the monthly direct debit system?
There will be no extra cost to members when the club moves to a direct debit mandate system. Any GoCardless fees will be absorbed by Guildford City.

How will ad hoc invoices be collected?
The club issues ad hoc invoices throughout the year. These could be for Meet entries, camps and clinics, club events or extra training i.e. Nationals Training. From September 1st payment for these invoices will be collected by direct debit 3 days after the invoice has been issued.

What happens if I choose not to complete a mandate?
If a mandate is not received then the full year’s squad and membership fees will be due at the start of the season.

When will the ASA fees be collected?
The annually charged ASA fees collected on behalf of Swim England (the national governing body) will be collected by Go Cardless in December each year.
