Wavepower is Swim England’s safeguarding policy and procedures document. Its aim is to ensure everyone is able to enjoy our sports and aquatic activity in a safe, positive and enjoyable environment in line with current legislation, regulations and guidance. This is part of Swim England’s commitment to create a culture in our sports and activities which makes everyone feel protected, included and welcomed – and that the safety, welfare and wellbeing of all participants is ingrained throughout our affiliated clubs and organisations. It is mandatory for all Swim England affiliated clubs and organisations to adopt Wavepower 2024. This means that all members of Guildford City must abide by Wavepower 2024. We have written our own policies and Codes of Conduct in order to ensure they are relevant for our members which include all the Wavepower elements. These are available in the Swim Manager document Library. For those aged under 18 Swim Manager will be accessible via a parent. Please see the link below to Swim England’s Wavepower document – Safeguarding and Procedures Policy. You will need to read Wavepower, as well as the Club’s policies and codes of conduct in Swim Manager along with the Employment Email from me. You then need to read the statement below and print your name and add the date.
“I have read the contents of the employment email and have read and understood the Wavepower Policy, Club Policies and Codes of Conduct and agreed to abide by all of them.
