Emma France who is a member of our Masters section incredibly swam 2 marathon open water (or should that be ultra marathon) swims in the space of 7 days.

On 8 July Emma swam the channel solo for the second time in a time of 12hrs 58mins, a time that is 4hrs 39mins faster than last time.

Not content with that on 15 July Emma completed the around Jersey swim in 11hrs 46mins. The distance …. 41 miles!

It is thought that Emma is one of only 165 swimmers to have done more than one English Channel crossing. She is also the 91st person to have swum around Jersey.

Emma says, ‘My improved speed is not coincidental and is thanks to Ivo as well as the coach I’ve been seeing one to one in Canary Wharf. I have one more swim planned for this season in September’.
