Many of the swimmers competing this week have already been competing in the British Summer Nationals and are once again in action which will be a test to their stamina. Also a number of fresh swimmers will be taking part and amongst those swimmers will be a number of swimmers experiencing the ASA Nationals for the first time.
The first swim of the day was the Men’s 100 Breast with Sam Nicholson swimming a 1.10.26 in the heats and he went on to swim a fantastic 1.08.63 in a personal best time coming 5th in the final. Chris Green swam a good race in the heats finishing in 1.07.56.
In the 100 Breast Heats Eva Munden swam 1.18.86 improving on her entry time and Ella Kenway put in a solid swim in 1.19.24.
Noa Doest swam in the 200 Free finishing in 2.07.59.
The Women’s 200 free had Molly Robinson finish in 2.14.27 in the Heats and Ellenor Rixon swam a great race after a long week of competing finishing in 2.11.70 in the heat and 2.11.83 in the final coming 9th.
Jordan McPhail swam well in the Men’s 400IM finishing in 5.07.94 in a personal best time. Dylan Conway swam a great heat in 4.52.66 earning him a place in the final where he finished 3rd in a lifetime best of 4.47.23 winning the bronze medal.
In the Women’s 400IM we had a number of swimmers taking part. Isobel Bryant put in a great effort gaining a great personal best in 5.18.56 in her first even Nationals. Kate Windle also put in the good performance swimming 5.18.52 in the heats earning her a place in the final where she finished 6th in a personal best time of 5.17.08. Ella Kenway and Megan Wallis both swam well in 5.22.82 and 5.23.90 respectively. Ella Windle had an amazing swim in the heats in a personal best time of 5.08.39 and then went on to come 7th in the final in a life time best time of 5.06.86. Kate Hodgson had an excellent swim in the heats also swimming a life time best of 5.10.77. Ellenor Rixon put in a fine performance earning her place in the final in 5.19.54.
