There was some great swimming in the Men’s 200 Breast which was the first event of the day. Noa Doest (13) swam the race in 2.56.09, Charlie Trotman (13) came joint 8th in his heat and 7th in the final in 2.43.77. Rubens King (18) came 6th in his heat in 2.27.08 and 5th in the final in 2.25.07.
Tilly Hansen-Hamillton (13) put in a great swim in the Women’s 400IM in 5.24.10. Kate Windle (15) also had a fine swim in 5.23.96. Ella Windle (17) also swam well coming 4th in the final in 5.09.56. However Rosanna Arnold had a superb swim coming first in her heat. Rosanna then went on to win Gold in the final in 5.01.49.
In the Women’s 50m Back Tabitha McCormick (17) had a great swim coming 11th in her heat in 31.68. Sophie du Plessis (19) also put in a fine performance where she came 1st in her heat and then went on to grab the gold in the final in a time of 30.50.
Louis Illingworth (14) and George Smith (16) both swam strong races in the Men’s 1500m free coming 7th and 10th respectively in their heats.
