The Youth swimmers followed the Age Groups and first in the pool was Rubens King in the 15/16 years and Joe Clark swimming in the 17/18 age group 100m Fly where both swimmers put in strong performances.
Chloe Bean swam in the 19 years 200 free and came 11th in 2.06.46 and in the final Chloe came 5th in 2.05.54. Ellen Thomas also swam in the 19 years 200m Free coming 5thin 2.03.50 but did not swim the final as she had another final that evening.
In the Men’s MC 200 Free Connor Lockwood put in an excellent performance and swam a personal best of 2.47.01.
The Women’s Open 50m Fly saw Dannielle Benn and Emma Day swim excellent races. However it was Ellen Thomas who managed to ensure she had a place in the final by coming 2nd in the heats in 27.38 and went on to clinch the Bronze medal in the final in 27.10.
Rubens King swam in the 15 years 400IM coming 12th in the heats in 4.38.43.
In the Women’s MC 400m Free Olivia Mae Cameron swam a superb Personal Best of 5.56.38 and went onto finish 9th in the final in 5.56.08.
Matthew Phillips came 17th in the Men’s 400m Free in a very good Personal Best time of 5.46.26.
The Women’s 15/16 years 200IM saw both Ella Windle and Lucy Bean gain Personal Bests in the heats. Emma Day qualified for the Semi Final in the 17/18 years and improved on her heat time finishing in 2.19.53 and came 8th which secured her a place in the final.
The final event of the day was the Men’s 4 x 100m free with Charlie Pullen, Frederick Biggs, Henry Goodlud and Joseph Clark all with excellent performances which guaranteed them a place in the final where they finished 7th in a time of 3.32.89
