Guildford City is one of the leading swimming clubs in the South East of England (see below for a list of some of our achievements). Our extraordinary team of over 70 highly qualified coaches and teachers deliver our unique training programme from our Learn to Swim all the way through to our international swimmers.
Our High Performance Squads (HPS) swim exclusively at Surrey Sports Park which boasts a state of the art 50m pool as part of its facilities.

Applying for A Post
If you are applying directly to a current advert below please follow the instructions given. If however you wish to make a general enquiry and have not already been in touch with the club please complete the Staff Enquiry Form.
Any potential new member of staff who has been in touch with the club and has been instructed to complete an Application form should either complete the Staff Application Form For A Paid Position or the Voluntary Staff Application Form depending if the application is for a paid or voluntary position.
LEAD COACH OF INTER SQUAD
The successful candidate should preferably have a Level 2 coaching qualification (or equivalent), or is willing to take the L2 Coaching qualification.
The post not only requires a coach who is passionate about coaching and developing swimmers to the best of their ability, but who can also bring this passion to the poolside imparting the fun of training and competing to the swimmer.
The post holder must have excellent written and oral communication skills as they will need to liaise with parents, swimmers, coaches and administrators. You will also be the first line of contact for swimmers wishing to join the Squad.
The post holder will need to have a calm and flexible attitude, excellent Excel knowledge as well as highly developed organisation and administrative skills. The post holder will be expected to take an active part within the Club as a whole.

Pay will depend on skills and experience.

Guildford City are recruiting L1/2 qualified teachers – vacancies could be at various venues including Surrey Sports Park and Spectrum Leisure Centre on a variety of days and times.
If you are not yet qualified but are interested in training as a Level 1 Swimming Teacher please see the link for details of courses in your area. Bursaries may be available for applicants once a certificate has been received (this should be discussed in advance of booking the course). The club often has vacancies for Pool Assistants for those not qualified.
The Club will need to apply for a CRB for the applicant and references will be sought. You will also need to attend a Safeguarding and Protecting Children’s Course which can be arranged through the Club.
