SER Championships: City Amassed 11 Gold, 16 Silver and 15 Bronze Medals

City had a great weekend at the 2015 South East Regional Championships featuring 50/100/200 events in 11/12 and 13 and 14 year age bands.

Overall City swimmers amassed 11 Gold 16 Silver and 15 Bronze medals with numerous finalists as well.

In the 11/12 age band Jordon McPhail won a total of 6 medals with Gold in 200IM 200back 200free and 100back. Bronzes in 100fly and 50back. In the same age band but still only 11 Max Windle made a clean sweep of Silvers in the 3 breast stroke events with Bronze in 200free. He also broke the SERs 11 and under 50breast record with a time of 37.27.
Toby Stewart – also 11/12 – won Bronze in 200back.

For the 11/12 girls Isabella Fakkel won all 3 Gold medals in the breaststroke events with Bronze in 200IM.
Jessica Rowlands made final in all 3 fly events winning Silver in the 100 and Bronzes in 200 and 50.
Daisy Seymour swam in several finals and won Silver in the 200back.

At age 13 Tilly Hansen Hamilton won 2 Gold medals in 200free and back. She also took Silver in 200IM.
In the same age band Eva Munden won Silvers in 200 and 100 breaststroke. In quite a battle in the 50fly Jemima Bryant took Silver and Madison Desroches Bronze.

For the age 13 boys Noa Doest won Silver in the 200IM and Bronze in 100free. Charlie Trotman won Bronze in the 200breast. Noa and Charlie made several other finals.

For the 14s Tatiana Belonogoff won both the 100 and 50 Gold medals in the breaststroke. Sophia Wilson swam to Silvers in 200back and 100breast. Anna Cutts sprinted hard all weekend and took Silver in 100free and Bronze in the 50.

For the boys Piers Bowden was a busy swimmer winning 5medals and other final swims. He won Silvers in 100free 100back and 50back with Bronzes in 50s free and back.
Louis Illingworth swam to 2 Bronzes in 200s free and back. Ben Rowett won Bronze in 200 fly.

Also making one or more finals were Alex Macdonald James Morris James Bonner Dan Donovan
Megan Wallis Sophie Thomas Claire Murphy Abigail Poulton Maia Shouksmith Alice Chan Imogen Bloomfield and Zara Agius.

All the City coaches on deck were delighted with these impressive performances and are looking forward to the relays and distance events at Portsmouth this weekend.
