The Guildford City masters squad travelled to the Welsh Masters championships on the 4th and 5th March 2017 and showed some impressive form. In total they took home 24 golds, 10 silvers and 3 bronzes. Guildford city swimmers performed impressively achieving many personal bests. Mike Hodgson again led the field with six British records, followed by Michelle Ware with a British record and two welsh records and the 200+ relay team broke the British record in the 4×50 medley and freestyle relays coming within fingertips of a European record in both. With the nationals following later in the year and the world championships in Budapest coming in the summer these results show Guildford will be one of the teams to beat.
