Guildford City swimmers medal on the first day of the British Summer Nationals

Ellen Thomas (21) started the day with the 200m Free and qualified for the final where she came 5th in 2.02.78. Ellen went on to swim in the 50m Fly and this time gained a Silver medal in the final in a time of 27.11.

In the 100m Men’s Fly Henry Offin (15) improved on his entry time finishing in 1.00.27.

Joseph Clark (18) also took part in the 100m Fly and in the Final he came 8th in 56.36.

Emma Day (18) & Lucy Bean (18) both swam in the 200m IM in 2.22.33 and 2.22.34 respectively. Emma also swam the 50m Fly in 28.79.

rubens-nationals-15In the 400m IM Louie Illingworth (14) swam 5.01.03. Rubens King (18) improved on his entry time and grabbed a Silver medal in the 200m IM Final in a time of 4.31.94.

Sophia Wilson (14) and Alicia Wilson (15) had a brilliant swim in their own age groups Sophia claimed Silver in the final in a time of 2.20.55 and Alicia a Bronze medal in a time of 2.20.83.

In the Men’s 17 and over relays Charlie Pullan, Fred Biggs, Riaan Steyn and Joseph Clark had an excellent swim and improved on their entry time finishing 8th in the final in a time of 3.31.85.

The Women’s 14/16 years 400m Free Relay team consisting of Alicia Wilson, Katie Hodgson, Anna Cutts and Molly Robinson also improved on their entry time finishing 10th in the Final in 4.01.33.

The Women’s 17 years plus relay team of Georgia Smith, Dannielle Benn, Lucy Bean and Emma Day came 7th in their Final in a time of 3.57.10.
